in search for life

how did God create me to live? that's what i'm searching for... hopefully we can help each other out, in our search for purpose, for fulfillment, for freedom, for true life.

God reminded me of something these past few days. something i had forgotten for a while.

this summer, after i came back from my missions trip in Japan, i was excited. i was excited because i knew how i could make a difference in vancouver, with my life. i was determined and passionate about point people toward God, to bring them one step closer to God (whether they were Christian or non-Christian). and i knew i had many opportunities, especially with the friends and family i had.

but these past few months, i seemed to have forgotten this. it's like i have fallen asleep... and God has slowly and gently woken me up. i'm slowly coming awake - but still groggy. but praise God that He loves me so much to wake me up.

we fall asleep sometimes. and the Lord nudges us gently to awake. for He doesn't want us to miss what He's doing in this generation, He doesn't want us to miss His glory. but sometimes it takes more than a nudge, it takes a louder shout - one that is not so gentle, kinda like a rude awakening. but praise God that He awakens us.

When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."
