laughter is an interesting thing. it seems to have different roles/effects. on one hand, it is very useful for covering hurt or pain or awkwardness (i.e. nervous laughter). on the hand, it has a strange way of providing life and strength and ease.

i had a great time today. there was much laughter, and i enjoyed every bit of it. ad lib skits, friends being silly, other people laughing - those make me laugh. i haven't laughed so much in a long time. and when i laugh, i am reminded of how God created us to be able to enjoy life in so many ways. what a great God. =)

Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
